공권력을 무시하는 사회 풍조가 만연한 가운데 업무 특성상 사건·사고 현장에 별도의 안전장비 없이 제일 먼저 달려 나가는 경찰관들이 매일같이 피격되어 순직하는 안타까운 상황이 반복되고 있어 본 연구에서는 다양한 현장 상황에서 범죄 피해자 이상으로 다양한 충격적 사건에 반복적으로 노출되어 많은 어려움을 겪는 경찰관들의 직무스트레스와 근무환경을 개선하기 위한 방안을 강구해 보았다. 해소되지 않고 누적된 스트레스는 경찰관 개인의 육체와 정신을 병들게 하며, 국민을 향한 경찰의 치안 서비스 또한 질적인 하락으로 이어져 부정적인 결과를 초래하게 될 것이다. 따라서 경찰의 기본적 임무 및 경찰활동과 각종 선행연구를 바탕으로, 경찰관의 직무스트레스 유발요소를 검토하였다. 이 결과 제도개선 방안으로 채증장비 확충, 개인용 방탄·방검복 지급, 개인용 보건위생장비를 지급하고 복지정책 개선방안으로 공무상 순직인정을 확대하고 투병 자에게는 완치 시까지 의료혜택을 부여, 스트레스치료 확대와 특수건강검진 전면 확대시행을 제시하였다.

In the wake of the widespread social trend that ignores the power of public power, the police officers who ran first without any safety equipment at the scene of the accident and the accident scene are stabbed to death every day. As a result, the implementation of welfare policies that expand the collection of diagnostic equipment, the payment of personal bulletproof vests, the payment of personal hygiene equipment, the increase of recognition of official duty, the grant of medical benefits until the cure, the stress treatment, And suggests ways to improve the system.
