This paper presents an optoelectronic read-out integrated circuit (ROIC) for the applications of indoor-monitoring LiDAR sensors by utilizing a 180-nm CMOS technology, which consists of a spatially modulated P+/N-well avalanche photodiode, amplitude-to-voltage (A2V) converter, and time-to-voltage (T2V) converter, respectively. Post-layout simulations reveal that the analog A2V converter can recover the input currents of 5 ~ 500 App with an almost linear step with the aid of gain control scheme, while the T2V converter can restore 50 App ~ 1.1 mApp input currents. The whole 8x8 ROIC array dissipates 262 mW in total from a single 1.8-V supply and occupies an area of 2.1 x 2.0 mm2 including I/O pads.
