The purpose of this study was to explore the experiences of early childhood teachers who participated in the on-site professional development of the 2019 revised Nuri Curriculum and, given this context, to derive the direction of the in-service professional development to be provided in the future, and to seek support for the successful operation of the Nuri curriculum. To this end, focus group interviews were conducted with 12 early childhood teachers working in kindergartens in Daegu and Gyeongbuk. The results of the study are as follows. First, there are “expectations and satisfaction in the teacher training,” which include feelings of excitement and anticipation, expectations for practically applying what is learned, and satisfaction from learning. Secondly, there are “challenges with difficulties in concentration during the teacher training,” which involve uncomfortable physical environments, accommodating large numbers of participants, long workshop durations, and a distracting atmosphere. Thirdly, there are “uncertainties arising from the teacher training,” which include doubts about the practical applicability, doubts about feasibility in specific situations, and doubts about teachers' own capabilities. Fourthly, there are “regrettable aspects of the teacher training,” encompassing non-participatory workshop, dissatisfaction with the distribution timing and content of workshop materials, and accumulation of fatigue-related issues. Based on the research results, improvement plans for in-service professional developments to be provided in the future, along with implications for teachers’ education, were presented
