This study attempted to provide basic data for urban regeneration in Korea by investigating and analyzing cases of urban regeneration abroad in terms of architectural planning. In the overseas case, the Biker Wall residential complex in the UK and the Tours Aillaud residential complex in France were selected as representative examples among European countries that focus on some new construction and preservation rather than demolition of old buildings. The characteristics of architectural planning in which urban regeneration takes place in terms of community and social integration were analyzed. This study was conducted through prior research and Internet data.The results of the study are as follows. First, it is the physical regeneration of community space. In order to maintain the location of the old residential complex, the existing community facilities and the existing street walking system were preserved and utilized so that the local community could continue to take place. Second, It is sustainable environmental regeneration. It has a historical nature where the past and the present coexist, and has formed a pleasant community space for residents and local residents in the complex. Third, It is social regeneration with the community. Through constant communication with residents and local residents in the complex, various needs can be reflected.
