In this study, we attempted to derive problems about military uniform and personal equipment for current female soldiers, and collect useful basic data that can be used when developing a new ergonomic military uniform. Accordingly, eight female soldiers were interviewed in depth. Based on the study, it was found that female soldiers were not provided with the same underwear as male soldiers, and combat uniforms were provided based on their size 10 years ago, resulting in frequent size problems. In addition, it was found that the uniforms were easily torn when hit with an obstacle, and the knees, hips, and elbows were easily worn out. It was found that the winter jackets (inner and outer) lacked warmth and were uncomfortable when worn with other clothes. CBR protective clothing was found to have problems such as size, thermal stress, and inconvenient to wear and take off. All bulletproof helmets, body armor, bulletproof vests, and combat backpacks did not come in women's sizes, making them uncomfortable to wear and causing weight and thermal stress. In conclusion, because there are several complaints about the current military uniform and numerous requests for improvements, it is clear that the development of a new military uniform system for female soldiers is urgent.
