In this study, the process of changing the character “Kaonashi” in “Spirited Away” and the elements of imperial expansion, and the contraction of “Harae” in “Kojiki” in a multi-layered manner was analyzed. Through a comparative analysis with the exorcism lore of the “Kojiki”, the common point of the narrative of “invasion” and the confirmation that it is a representation of “invasion” and the “expansion of the empire” can be pointed out. In addition, can be mentioned that through the process of healing and recovery of Kaonashi and its returns to the original form, the so-called “post-empire”, or the appearance after the empire. Kaonashi underwent change from expansion to contraction, and eventually chose harmony and cooperation. What if it was the ideal post-empire that Hayao Miyazaki presented? However, during Kaonashi’s contraction process, his victims and swallowed employees, returned th their original forms as if nothing had happened. In addition, the Bathhouse does not appear to have suffered much damage. Consequently, the remaining victims, the empire’s subjects, cannot be seen suffering much. The limits of post-imperialism can also be confirmed through this.
