This study analyzed the work environment of public institutions utilizing IPA and suggested directions for improvement. For this purpose, the psychological factors of office workers for work environment factors were investigated for office workers in public institutions located in G province, and the importance and priority factors were analyzed and diagnosed. Based on the theoretical background, the questionnaire design consisted of a questionnaire about the structural factors of the office space, the factors of the work environment, and the factors of the change of the work environment. EXCEL 2016 and SPSS 21 statistical programs were used for the analysis of this study. As a result of the study, with regard to the structural factors of the work space, G province public institutions should focus on improving the office layout and office common space factors. It was found that privacy needs to be improved. And it was found that office space hygiene, smart office space, personalized office furniture, minimization of touch points, and maintaining physical distance between coworkers should be prioritized for change factors in the work environment. Based on the results of this analysis, G province public institutions should also improve the office work environment of public institutions and prepare guidelines for workplace wellness to create a work environment where office workers can be more productive.
