According to policy of the MCST, The Small Library is a “life-friendly Library”. By local residents, It will play a role as a cultural space in their daily life and as a base facility for revitalizing the community. It is one of the top ten core tasks of the Regional Life SOC. The Small Library is crucial facility as utilizes for the walking area. So, the walking environment and the locational environment are important factors. However, The Small Library do not have location evaluation standards. Thus, this study examines location evaluation criterion with weighting. Furthermore, this study takes account of the location analysis and the situation of the Small Library. It considers means that the locational analysis with the Focus Group Interview, suitable evaluation criteria based on previous studies, and the weighting drawn by the Analytic Hierarchy Process. As a result, through the results of this study, the locational evaluation with weighting was possible to reflect the characteristics of the locational environment. In addition, in that more precise result values can be obtained compared to the results revealed in previous studies, it is expected that the methodology proposed in this study will be used to help select the appropriate location for small libraries.
