The goals of this research is to objectively calculate the human and material resources having been used by religious organizations in Korea for foreign aid projects; to evaluate the manner in which those organizations have allocated those resources; and finally to provide more desirable way of aid. Based upon this research, I argue that the desirable aid scheme should be established to assist the development of the mission field, in the first. It means that those who are involved in the aid effort should not consider the development of the mission field as a by-product of direct mission work. In this context, I suggest that Korean religious resources needs to be invested into international development cooperation activities, which will resulted in the improvement the image of Korea as a partner for international development aid. I believe that this way of using Korean religious resources will not only improve the publicness of Korean religions in international development cooperation, but also enhance publicness even in the Korean society. If religious organizations invest and contribute their resources to social development rather than their self-expansion, they can be regarded as social capitals.
