(Design ethics education for All)’에 활용되어야 할 것으로 예상한다.Background: To cultivate creative talents of the 21st century, there is a growing interest in research and education not only on economic aspects, but also on ethical perspectives in design. In this social atmosphere, the importance of policy, research and education on eco-friendly design and universal design that considers the environment and all human beings such as the handicapped, the elderly, children, and women are highlighted.
Methods: This study is to suggest the importance of ethical aspect as a paradigm of future education centered on types and case studies of design for society. This research on the ethical perspective of design is based on concepts and case studies such as Victor Papanek's social reduction design, Nigel Whiteley's design for society, Ronald L. Mace‘s universal design, and Sangmin, Bae's social donation design.
Result: In this study, it is necessary to introduce not only professional design education for designers and students in the field of design, but also education curriculum such as civic education as an indispensable curriculum for raising ethical awareness as a global citizen and an education for all.
Conclusion: From the perspective of design and ethics, the design research for society should be fundamentally based on ethics and moral consciousness of design for human beings. UGD (Universal + Green Design) for harmonious coexistence of human and nature is becoming a representative design paradigm of the 21st century. Therefore, it is necessary to actively introduce ideas, types and case studies of Unigreen Design to design education in order to cultivate creative talents. This unigreen design is expected to be applied not only for professional design education at universities, but also for 'Design ethics education for all' to cultivate global citizenship.
