This study aims to offer a microscopic description of the headwords in Yuzhi Qingwenjian 御製淸文鑑 and Qingwen Huishu 淸文彙書. Investigating a sere hergen headwords of the two dictionaries, it is assured that they are closely related, as expected. That is, in Qingwen Huishu, the headwords of Yuzhi Qingwenjian were disassembled and rearranged in alphabetical order, and the Manchu definitions were replaced by Chinese translations. While all headwords in Yuzhi Qingwenjian also appear in Qingwen Huishu, not vice versa. There exist headwords which appear only in Qingwen Huishu. Some of these headwords are found in definitions of Yuzhi Qingwenjian, some in Daqing quanshu 大淸全書, and the rest are found only in Qingwen Huishu. Some of the new headwords in Qingwen Huishu are also listed in 御製增訂淸文鑑 Yuzhi Zengding Qingwenjian, while some are not. By investigating which of them appear in Yuzhi Zengding Qingwenjian and which do not, the criteria of selecting headwords for Yuzhi Zengding Qingwenjian can be suggested.
