이 글은 일제강점기 아지노모도(味の素)광고에 관한 연구이다. 아지노모도는 진단(仁丹)과 더불어 이 시기를 대표하는 광고였다. 아지노모도는 20년대와 30년대 사이에 식민지 조선에서 지속적으로 광고활동 전개하였고 그 광고 기법도 다양하고 세련되었다. 그러나 아지노모도가 식민지 조선에서 실제로 어떠한 광고-선전 및 판매 전략으로 그들의 제품을 판매하였는지, 또한 그 규모와 실체에 관한 구체적이고 종합적인 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 특히 당시의 주요매체인 활자미디어 이외의 옥외광고와 네온사인광고 등에 관해서도 새로운 사실들을 밝히고자 한다.This is a study of the Ajinomoto(味の素)advertisement during the period of Japan's colonial rule. Ajinomoto was an advertisement, which represented the period together with the JIntan(仁丹). The Ajinomoto's advertising activities was in continuous evolution during the 20's and 30's at the colony, Korea. However, there was little research about which kind of advertisement or marketing strategy did the Ajinomoto adopt for selling their products and about its scale and entity at the colony. As a result, this study aims to research the Ajinomoto's advertisement activities in Korea during the colonical period from a concrete and overall perspective. In particular, this study attempts to clarify new facts of the outdoor and the neon-light advertisements, besides the print media, which was popular at the time.
