Somingga gisun ― i.e. “hidden meanings”, are a characteristic genre of Sibe folk and oral literature, such as dekdeni gisun (sayings), koolingga gisun (proverbs) etc. Somingga gisun could be compared with the Chinese xiehouyu, which probably had a strong influence upon them. The language of that kind of gisun is characterized by local lexicography which in many cases request further research.
