In the new media environment, with the expansion of Internet users and the rapid development of network video platform, Bullet Screen has changed the way viewers watch, and can actively participate in video content on the platform.
In this study, The narrative and the text of the Bullet Screen about The Bad Kids has been analyzed, which is a representative suspense web drama in China. There are many factors that affect storytelling, and 'Trans-identity' is a key point in the suspense film. This study analyzed the relevance between narrative text and audience reaction, and revealed the relationship between audience identity and narrative through trans-identity storytelling theory. Through the bullet screen, it is possible to confirm in real time how the audience reacts to which content of the narrative when watching the web drama, such as which plot is most likely to arouse everyone's discussion, which part can resonate. In particular, audience can confirm their identity when expressing their opinions and emotions through the bullet screen. At the same time, it is recognized and interacted with other audiences beyond the boundaries of time and space, and it creates a sense of collective identity with the audience.
First of all, the study used trans-identity storytelling theory to analyze the narrative of The Bad Kids, narrative encompasses the process of character identity alteration. Next through python, the text content of the 12th episode of The Bad Kids, from IQY was extracted. The analysis of the Bullet Screen was subdivided according Quantitative Analysis and Content Analysis. Based on the results of this analysis, found the intersection between the audience response and the narrative, further confirmed the relationship between the narrative and the audience response. Finally, studied out how the identity of the audience is formed through the interaction of the bullet screen with the narrative text.
