Railway rails are an innovative invention that can increase the speed and volume of land transport by wheels. The material of the rails is made of wood, steel and steel, and the power of vehicles moving along the rails has changed from human, animal and steam engines to electricity at present. Since the 16th century, a basic system using rails has been used. Therefore, railway is the beginning and symbol of rail traffic. This study is about railroad changes since the 1960s, when the reconstruction and improvement of railroads destroyed during liberation and the Korean War began in earnest.
The introduction describes the background, purpose, scope and method of research. This paper describes the theoretical background of the rails. The structure and role of the rail as a material for the track are described. The origin, definition, basic structure, details and definitions of terms have been described. In addition, as a process to examine the transition process of cross section of railroad railroad, the general characteristics of railroad rail by rail type are described based on the literature data on railroad rail.
Based on the collected railway rail data, the flow chart of railway rail cross-sectional shape is presented and the factors of variation of rail-rail cross-sectional shape are derived. In conclusion, we summarized the changes in the cross-sectional shape of railroad rails and the changes of rail producers.
