The previous curriculum of the high school information book was 'the information society and computer.' But the designation was changed by 2007 Revised Curriculum as the 'Information curriculum. The information curriculum helps to the high school student to give them the correct understanding of the instructions and informational society. It also helps to get the correct knowledge of the Information Science and Technology. Also, it may give the creative way of solving the problems. The distinctive points about the new curriculum emphasize the connection and its sequence between the middle school and high school curriculum.
Nonetheless, this information textbook has been made by the Department of education as a recognized textbook. The Department of education accepted and approved it before the textbook was published.
This recognized information textbook (course book) is based on accreditation standards from the Department of education. The contents could be proceeded differences depends on the capabilities of the publisher and editors in six different textbooks which have already been published.
Thus, this research will suggest the way of improvement by analysis and comparing with two kinds of criteria, which bases on the external system, and its contents in six different textbooks. By this research, variety factors have been discovered as follows. First, the textbooks should be the same in all the construction through the prior consultation with each pubulisher's editors. From the large area of the ordering of the contents to the small area of ordering of the contents and its titles are so different. It may give confusion to the learners because of its contents. Second, the textbook should use the same glossary. It will give a comprehension of terms. Also, it will give proper understanding of the concept of its terms. Many terms in the textbook are inconsistent. Normally, the terms are from the foreign languages. Likewise, the Telecommunications glossary and the computer glossary's true origin are also from the foreign languages. So it needs a management system to present consistent languages to give proper understanding of its concept. Thirdly, all the contents in textbook are very profound to the high school students. Some of main area belongs in the university courses. The implicit representation in the textbook has a prominent concept which gives difficulties to the high school learners too., the large part of the textbook should be reduced for the high school learners. And the main concept should be expressed in the level of the learners so that the learners can learn with their level of understanding. It might be a true role of the textbook. Although the information society and computer textbook has been changed to the 'Information' textbook, it is an optional subject. To this, the contents of the textbook should be improved continuously.
Therefore, this research will suggest the improvement of the Information textbook with comparing and analysis of the contents of the textbook. It will give more confident to the high school learners.
