In the current academic research on Chunghwa pigment progressed a lot, but more commonly progresses 'Hoehoechung' imported from China for the research came to focus, Study on domestic cheonghwa pigments 'tocheong ' is extremely weak.
Reasons of conflicting claims are comming from difficulty of classification (distinguish) between 'Tochung' from imported 'Hoehoechung' and lack of absolute chronology research. Also those reasons raised the doubts of existence.
This thesis studies on development history of Blue and White Porcelains and its pigments. And the domestic pigment developed in Chosen period based on previous research and historical documentary records to clarify on the existence of 'Tochung'.
