As national control points are to be determined, the important factor is to select GPS observation data interpretation software application. The purpose of this study is to analyze the difference between GAMIT/GLOBK, a software application for the academic research purpose, and TGO, a commercial software application, regarding the interpretation results. This study had been performed on exploring GPS observation data of 382 integration control points, which were installed and have been operating in Chucheon, Samchuk, and Sokcho districts, with the analysis of the results of baseline interpretation and of network adjustment interpretation, and of 3D Cartesian coordinates and TM coordinates.
As a result, in case of 3D Cartesian coordinates, standard deviation was 3-4cm, and TM's standard deviation was 1-2cm. As the length of baseline has increased, the coordinate difference has grown larger.
It was considered that the biggest factor of the deviation was the different capabilities for editing baseline regarding an error existing in observation data. In case of TM coordinates, its deviation appeared similar to 3D Cartesian coordinates, but the deviation degree was believed to be more precise.
And the software application for the academic research purpose evenly adjusted the entire data with equal precision, whereas the commercial software had lower adjustment.
