The purpose of this study is figuring out police organization's characteristic such as organizational justice, culture, trust, communicational openness are influenced on organizational effectiveness, examining mediating effects of self-efficacy and moderating effects of individual characteristics
The target population in this research is police officer who works in the national police agency, subsidiary agencies this study was analysed 748 respondents who worked with 16 cities and provinces of police agency in Korea.
Collected data was analysed by using SPSS and AMOS for SEM(Structure Equation Model).
The analysed results in this study are as follow:
First, Organizational Characteristics such as organizational justice, culture, trust and communicational openness makes generally significant effects to Job Satisfaction, Organizational Commitment and Adaptation to Organization which are known as Organizational Effectiveness.
Second, organizational justice are positively effected to organizational adaptation, organizational culture is not directly effected to organizational adaptation. Also, organizational had positive effect to job satisfaction, organizational commitment, organizational adaptation, communicational openness had negative effect to job satisfaction, organizational commitment, organizational adaptation.
Third, organizational trust is more effective variance to self efficacy than organizational justice, organizational culture, communicational openness.
Forth, self efficacy had mediating effect between organizational characteristic and organizational effectiveness.
Fifth, individual characteristics such as marital status, rank, and the pathway of people's office had moderating effect to organizational characteristics, self-efficacy and organizational effectiveness.
In this aspect, the implications are as follows:
First, this study can be a valuable research through multidimensional approach to effectiveness of organizational effectiveness in police, also, need to strategic approach for activates Self-Efficacy.
Second, for new administrative strategy in police agency, considering individual characteristic and approaching method for organizational operation are required. Moreover, in order to enhance the effectiveness of police organization, we effort to make healthy organizational culture and organization management considering individual characteristics of Sociology of Population.
Third, Academical introduction of social welfare is needed our agencies. It can be changed our organization management in order to consider the perceived individual response. Therefore, introducing social work practicing skills for organization management is necessary.
Forth, We need a social worker who work for police agency.
