Today, because digital content can be easily produced with the development of multimedia devices, production and distribution of various contents such as text, image, audio, video and game, etc that has been increasing. Also, with the development of network technology that has become accelerated and advanced, distribution of digital contents become more general.
In addition, with the propagation of high-speed Internet, the necessity of digital contents-oriented distribution and structure of consumption is coming to the fore and we need to build infrastructure and develop the distribution technology of digital contents for supporting this.
Digital Right Management(DRM) is a term that refers technologies for imposing on the use of digital content for protecting media copyright holders and sending safely and accurately digital contents from the copyright holder and provider to customers and protecting right of object related with digital contents and preventing illegal distribution and redistribution.
For the internet, digital content distribution industry emerged as a new business model, a plethora of Digital Right Management technologies were released to prevent copyright infringement due to illegal copies.
However, as digital music and e-Books, which formed the early market for the DRM technologies's profits have stagnated.
As a consequence, both security and user-friendliness are not met concurrently. In that sense, this study is to suggest a packaging mechanism and algorithm for DRM systems that meets both features.
