In this study, short term weight loss method has been conducted to help those athletes in need of more effective weight control and also to present scientific analysis.
There were 10 weight-class athletes who had participated short-term weight loss program previously. Average body composition (body weight, body water, muscle, fat, fat-free) and anaerobic exercise capacity (Mean power, Peak power, Minimum power, Time to Peak power, Fatigue index) were measured after the participants went through the following program - 1. 20 minutes half body bath and 5 minutes steam-sauna vs. 2. 5-day dietary restriction (the 1st 1300 ~ 1500㎉ intake) which made participants to lose 3% of body weight.
