This dissertation analyzes and implements the surface defects of strong glass at high sensitive camera and light condition.
Strong glass have been widely used at the fields of mobile displayer.
And so many factories needs much productions and needs more speedy inspections for the higher productivity.
A 5 Mega pixel camera combined with 10 micro meter/pixel is used for high sensitive image acquisition system. And ABB's small but accurate version Robot system was adapted for moving the glass. Using the robot system we can approve the clean transportation during the inspection.
Individual defect oriented algorithm was prepared for good detection the defects on the glass. Some item used edge-based algorithm and some used binarization-based algorithm, following the grouping and size decision algorithm.
The test system was constructed and implemented using giga-ethernet cameras equiped at personal computer.
Used language tool was Visual C++ with MFC and Matrox Mil-8.0 library.
The image processing system for inspecting strong glass was successfully operated and the results were very good.
Soon later this system should be upgraded for making high quality inspection through high resolution line scan camera and moving stage.
