There is no domestic design standard as the current Corrugated Steel Plate structures in the nations are those adopted from Canada. In addition, the design standard which has been used outside are partially adopted into the country. This study has carried out a performance evaluation test with Deep Corrugated steel Plate manufactured in the nation.
According to the steel of ASTM A1018 Grade40's tension test result, the steel has more than 275MPa in yield stress and 380MPa in tensile stress. As extensibility test with every speciman shows the value about 1% to 8% higher than minimum extensibility, 19%, it is judged that might be no serious problem in usability.
According to the Deep Corrugated Steel Plate compression test result, all specimen have the value of 280.7kN/m~430.3kN/m, which are higher than design compressive strength. In the bending test, the result is 32.8%~47.3% higher than the value design flexural strength, which means they have conservative value.
In the CBS-Beam's performance evaluation test result, the value of compressive stress was 103.35MPa~207.07MPa higher. The performance of composite structure has been underestimated, as the value of ultimate moment was 5.9%~46.3% higher than design standard.
As Deep Corrugated Steel Plate's bolt reinforced has been increased from 3Hole to 4Hole, there is a decreasing tendency of bolt connection tearing failure. Therefore, bending deflection performance of CBS-Beam has been increased and failure behavior, which was originally brittleness failure, has turned into ductile fracture.
