The study aims at providing the directions for conducting Cadastral Survey Inaspection System in Korea in an effective and efficient manner. The author attempted to identify the features and characteristics of Cadastral Survey methods and examine the scope and content of details for inspection system regulated by the relevant laws in order to achieve such objectives. In the study, current status on survey staffs, survey instruments and training and education programs for the examiners in local cadastral authorities within the City of Seoul were figured out in detail, and the problems regarding the Survey systems were drawn. In addition, such environmental changes that surround Cadastral Survey fields as opening of the cadastral survey market, transfer of its control over the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs, legislation of integrated cadastral survey acts and transfer of Korea Land Information System Database into WorId Geodetic System are dealt with in the study. And it highlights the current problematic issues on Inspection System of Cadastral Survey by taking practical examples and cases alike.
In conclusion, the author ultimately proposes the alternatives to improve the system as follows.
First, Survey Measure Methods taking advantage of Network-GPS instruments.
Second, Expansion of Human Resources in order to maintain current Survey Scheme.
Third, Holding Cadastral Survey Inspection Contest for Technical Capacity Building and Reflection of Field Survey Experiences into Personnel Affairs and Eval!uation of Merits.
Fourth, Conduct of Independent Surveys by Quasi-Government Organizations, thus Reducing the Workload of Surveyors which contributes to focusing upon critical administrative affairs, and Advancement of Korea Cadastral Survey Corporation in terms of Responsibilities and Reliability through Independent Surveys.
