It is expected that the development of a creative city in Yokohama, Japan where creative elites will gather to attract new fauns of art or cultural activities, and will lead to the integration of movies, videos, music, theater and design, publishing and the life-style industries.
This study will examine what policies and how they are applied in the conception and promotion of the idea of the creative city in Yokohama with the aim of exploring the techniques that can be used to build a creative city in Korea.
The challenge in Yokohama is to settle public art activities in the city. By attracting industries, or colleges or universities, the creativity of Yokohama can become more widely known and can lead to the creation of lots of business opportunities. It can also be promoted 〈Video Cultural City〉 through events such as support to digital content producers, Yokohama EIZONE and student film festivals for promotion of industries.
And an Arts Commission Project that provides information needed for integrated promotion of artists, creators or creative industries in Yokohama has been planned. It will be a comprehensive way for the different parties in the project to consult about development.
Environmental-Friendly」 is related to the overall quality in the environment, housing, city building as well as resources, energy or waste.
This paper focuses on exploring the pleasant, convenient, hygienic, secure and sustainable environments of building cities and housing. It aims at creative activities that scientifically plan and design desirable living environment in individual housing, architecture, cities and regions. Therefore, we present skills to enhance performances of sustainable environment-friendly cities and buildings and evaluation directions.
