In the case of children in asylum, we can easily see paying no attention to self-esteem building and development which is essential to healthy charter formation and acculturation on children. Because they scarcely have emotional experience that control and understand their emotions with parents at home, they are short of stabile rearing-environment and our consideration on educational environment.
In this study, we want to comprehend whether reading remedy program is help to self-esteem improvement of children in asylum and through inspection of their effects, contribute emotional purification, improving value judgement ability and at the same time establishing positive self-esteem.
In the 2nd chapter, we make a study of theoretical ground about effects of reading remedy on improvement in self-esteem of children in asylum.
In the 3rd chapter, we announce the results of reading remedy program which is done one time per week during 12 weeks between test group(20 persons) and control group(20 persons). They are 3rd, 4th grade pupils in asylum and reading remedy program is done only for the test group.
In the 4th chapter, we make analysis differences between two groups(test group and control group). For the comparison, first we did a preliminary inspection on self-esteem of two groups to examine the same quality between test group and control group. And then we made post-inspection to investigate effects of reading remedy program on improvement in self-esteem of children in asylum.
In the 5th chapter, we can reach a conclusion which is reading remedy program have an effect on improvement in self-esteem of children in asylum. we can know this point through our examination which shows that self-esteem of test group is highly improved after doing reading remedy program in comparison with that of control group.
In conclusion, children in asylum mostly may have much more trouble because of emotional fear, psychological discord and instability. Without more services for the children in asylum, they may come to crises getting emotional disorder and destructive character cause of asylum's weak point. Consequently, the children in asylum are made offers properly services and programs and living guidances by counselor.
