In this paper, I illuminated the fundamental theory and the modern methods of family analysis in Feng Shui, looked for the character of Korean, and the effects to residence of human beings for important geographical features with the study of cases. Especially, I studied analysis of the geographical features of twins' village which has 15 times twins birthrate that the whole country does and the characteristic of Feng Shui in longevity villages. I made this paper through the interview and the analysis of statistical data in the areas, and so on. I chose Jungchon village at Yeu-su in Jeon nam province and Sandong village at Asan in Chungnam province on the areas for research. There I looked for the location of the village being effected by the birthrate of twins' village. Also I chose Baekunchun at Gurae in Jeon nam province and Angol at Namyangju in Gyunggi province in the area for the research for longevity villages. I looked for the relation with the cause for longevity and the geographical characteristics through the survey of the field. The probability of the birthrate of twins is generally 0.5%. It is one baby out of 150 to 200 babies. But I recognized that the birthrate of Jungchon and Sandong village are 15 times higher than other places in Korea. This result seems surreal because the possibility of having 38 twins in the only one place is almost zero. We could also find twins' villages in Turkey and the South of Nigeria. Nineteen twins were born there. These villages are known for twins' village like the above cases of Korea that I mentioned. At the beginning of this study, I assumed that such a phenomenon could be related to general factors like lifestyle and eating habits or genetic factors. However, I confirmed this phenomenon is not related to any of those. Ultimately, I found out that Jungchon and Sangdong have similar characteristics. In front of two villages, they have two mountains one is closer and another is further but they are located in a row so that makes a mountain shape like twins. And two villages share another feature that they have another shape of twin mountains and I also found out a common feature in the structure of the house they live and confirm ho has the house which front doors head to twin mountains, there are more possibilities. First, to observe Feng Shui geographical characteristics of longevity villages, I have chosen two areas for data gathering based on longevity grade. I've defined the longevity village as village where more than 30% of seniors with 65 years age are 80 years old or more. There are longevity villages in Korea. Especially, there are 25 villages in Jeon nam province. The number of villages even takes 21% of Jeon nam. For example, Damyang, Hampyung, Yunggoang, Goksung, Bosung, Gurae, Jindo, etc. Especially, a lot of longevity villages are in Gurae. These areas has not civilized enough to have hospitals or welfare facilities for the aged. I recognized that natural environmental factors have more effect on longevity that artificial factors like hospitals. Baekunchun is not a broad area, but has fertile soil and steep slopes makes spirit of the earth not vigorous. The direction of the house faces east or north which most of Korean dont' prefer those direction of housing. So I made a conclusion that unusual housing must be fit with their natural condition so that makes people live happily and healthy. I judged the village had a nice place to live, because the four directions is surrounded by the low mountains, protected the wind of north by a blue dragon and a white tiger, and intercept snow wind very well. Angol villagers tend to return their home at the old age. They lived happily with the mountains and rivers. There were 84 seniors with ages of 65 or more and it's 30% of town's total 280 people. They were also healthy enough to work.
In the population rate, Angol and Baekunchun are different from each other. In case of Baekunchun, 65 years above living at the outland was 50 % there. Then Angol was 30% living in near suburb of Seoul. Angol had the balance of generation, living with 20s-30s because of the good geographic condition. This study have the following limits. This paper is to propose how the geographical conditions or characteristics are feng suil causes for villages where great numbers of twins born or longevity.
1. I have not researched all longevity villages or twins' villages to judge correctly the results of study. So I have not researched enough the comparison and analysis with objective circumstance and condition. 2. In case of foreign twins' villages for geography, I could not research same characteristic with Korea. 3. We must recognize that social longevity is not depending on the age only, so we need to research Feng Shui under same condition like making fixing factors etc. In the result, I get the geographic circumstance through the relative comparison analysis for the formation of longevity villages or twins's villages, I judge that deduction of common denominator of the essence of the geographic condition of longevity villages has a great significance in study of several approach.
