초록보기

 1960년대 이후 가속화되었던 제조업 생산 기능의 개도국 이전 현상을 계기로 다양한 학문 분야에서 경제의 세계화와 국제 분업에 관한 연구가 이루어졌다. 그 중 대표적인 것으로 신국제분업론, 글로벌 상품사슬 및 글로벌 가치사슬 연구, 맨체스터 스쿨의 글로벌 생산네트워크 연구, Ernst의 글로벌 생산 네트워크 및 글로벌 혁신 네트워크 연구를 들 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 경제의 세계화 및 국제 분업을 다룬 이들 대표적인 연구 문헌들을 비판적으로 검토하고, 이들 사이의 차이점에 대한 비교와 더불어 몇 가지 이론적 쟁점들을 부각시키고자 한다. 그것은 경제의 세계화의 역사적 단계 구분 문제, 제조업 가치사슬의 개념적 분할 여부, 분석 범주의 선택 문제이다. 또한 이러한 이론적 쟁점들의 분석에 기반해서 경제의 세계화를 분석하는 데 필요한 통합적 분석 틀을 제안해보고자 한다.
