Kuk-Jin Kim is the musician who considers the Folk Music as a living tradition and he emphasizes that the folk music is very important as a principal basic material of music-working in the past as well as the future. His unique music-idiom, such as harmonics, counterpoint, musical form theory and so on, which is based on the study of folk music clearly classifies the Western music and the Korean traditional music.

Our generation should accomplish a creation of new music culture. The groping, learning and studying for Korean race are the core question of Korean music and the creative working is the mission on Korean composers. It should be also taken the lead in Korean musicians and composers. This report tells us Kuk-Jin Kim's efforts and concerns of the folk music taking a good look at his systematic realization of the Korean music. what is more, it is studied about 「Piano Sanjo VI」 which is his music-world and Korean typical music form 「Sanjo(散調)」 for playing the piano. We could find out his all possible efforts of his 「Piano Sanjo VI」 for a long time through this study. His music shows us the sound for Korean emotion through harmonics, counterpoint, rhythm, melody, form etc.

Over and above these, he sincerely emphasizes that the works which make the base for expanding of the Korean music to the younger generation studying the composition should keep going. The representation of a settlement for the way we could use Korean musical materials which any country doesn't have so far is very important fact before we reach a conclusion his efforts in his musical works are the complete success in Korean Music. We should, from now on, have lots of concerns for playing and listening to the music. Many Korean people go aboard for studying but we hope, also, the western people come to Korea for studying the Korean Music and our Korean Music is expanded all over the world.
