This study aims to verify the influence of cognitive empathy and behavioral empathy on team soft skills and job performance of hotel employees. In order to achieve the research purpose, this study posited research hypotheses based on relative literature and also established a research model with the hypotheses. The data was collected from employees who work in the food and beverage and culinary department at a five-star hotel located in the Busan area. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was difficult to conduct the survey through face-to-face contact with employees, so it was conducted through an online survey from 1 July to 30 July 2022. The study results are as follows. first, cognitive empathy and behavioral empathy has a positive and significant impact on team soft skills Second, team emotions and rapport has a positive and significant impact on job performance.However, the positive effect of teamwork does not have a significant impact on job performance was not significant. Based on the findings of this study, we provide useful implications for human resource management to enhance the creativity of F&B and culinary employees in hotel companies and maximise the competitiveness of hotel companies.
