본 연구는 중국 소비자의 소셜미디어(위챗) 이용이 지속가능한 패션 소비에 미치는 영향에 대한 것으로, 중국 소비자의 소셜미디어 이용이 사회적 영향에 미치는 영향, 사회적 영향이 주관적 규범과 태도를 통해 지속가능한 패션 구매의도에 미치는 영향에 대해 살펴봤다. 그리고 소비자의 환경지식에 따라 소셜미디어 이용이 지속가능한 패션 구매의도에 미치는 영향에 차이가 있는지 살펴봤다. 본 연구에서는 중국 소비자를 대상자로 설문조사를 실시했으며, 총 391부가 최종 분석에 사용됐다. 가설 검증을 위해, 구조방정식 분석과 다중집단 경로분석을 실시했다. 그 결과, 소셜미디어 이용은 사회적 영향에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤고, 사회적 영향은 주관적 규범과 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 주관적 규범은 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤고, 태도는 지속가능한 패션 구매의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 그리고 환경지식 고집단과 저집단을 비교한 결과, 고집단에서는 소셜미디어 이용이 사회적 영향에, 사회적 영향이 주관적 규범과 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으나, 저집단에서는 이러한 경로들에서 유의미한 결과가 나타나지 않았다. 본 연구는 지속가능한 패션 소비에 있어서 소셜미디어의 역할과 방향에 대해 살펴보았다는 점, 소비자의 특성인 환경지식의 조절효과를 살펴보았다는 점에서 학술적 의의를 가지며, 중국 시장에 진출한 패션 브랜드가 향후 지속가능한 생산과 소비를 위해 어떻게 해야할지 시사점을 제시했다는 점에서 실무적 의의를 가진다.
This research studied the impact of Chinese consumers' use of WeChat on sustainable fashion consumption. To this end, the impact of Chinese consumers' social media use on social influence, and the effect of Social Influence on the Purchase Intention of Sustainable Fashion through Subjective Norm and Attitude were studied. In addition, we examined whether there is a difference in the impact of social media use on sustainable fashion purchase intention according to consumers' environmental knowledge. In this study, a survey was conducted with Chinese consumers, and a total of 391 responses were used for the final analysis. For hypothesis verification, Structure Equation Analysis and Multigroup Path Analysis were conducted. As a result, Social Media Use turned out to have a positive effect on Social Influence, Social Influence had a positive effect on Subjective Norms and Attitudes, Subjective Norms had a positive effect on Attitudes, and Attitudes had a positive effect on Sustainable Fashion Purchase Intentions. The result of comparing high environmental knowledge group with low environmental knowledge group showed, that Social Media Use had a positive effect on social influence, and that Social Influence had a positive effect on subjective norms and attitudes in the high environmental knowledge group, while there were not significant results in these pathways in the low environmental knowledge group. This study has academic significance in that it examines the role and direction of social media in sustainable fashion consumption and the Moderating effect of environmental knowledge, which is a characteristic of consumers. It also has practical significance in that it suggests what fashion brands in the Chinese market should do for the production and consumption of sustainable fashion products in the future.
