This study analyzed the patterns and influences of Korean contemporary women's literature, centered on Nam-joo Cho's 『Kim Ji Young born 1982』(2016), translated and accepted in Japan. In other words, it examines how Korean women's literature, which is gaining sensational popularity in Japan, was introduced to Japan, the practical issues of translation surrounding the difference between the cultures of the two countries, and the pattern of acceptance by Japanese readers.
In fact, according to the results of a survey of the translation of Korean novels in Japan before and after the publication of the Japanese version of 『Kim Ji Young born 1982』, women's literature is the mainstream among Korean literature, and it is not necessarily proportional to the order of publication in Korea. As a result, it was confirmed that the author's past works are being published and that Korean literature series are being published for each publisher.
