Purpose The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact factors of R&D Efficiency by technology level, focusing on equipment investment in manufacturing industries.
Methods In this paper, a Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA) method was used to measure the R&D efficiency by technology level in the manufacturing industry, and the impact factors of R&D efficiency were derived using the Tobit regression analysis.
Results As a result of the analysis, the causes of R&D efficiency and inefficiency by technology level in the 30s manufacturing industry were identified. In addition, the impact factors of R&D efficiency were derived by technology level and facility investment size.
Conclusion This study proposed a plan to improve R&D efficiency from the perspective of facility investment by technology level. The results of this study are expected to be used as a guideline for decision making in the government's R&D efficiency policies in manufacturing industries.
