The aim of this research was study the effects of pilates exercise on BMD and body composition in working women. The subjects of this research were working women without any metabolic diseases and haven't had regular and vigorous physical activities. The subjects were divided into two groups of an pilates exercise group(8 subjects), control group with(8 subjects). Pilates exercise group performed 2 times a week for 90 minutest for 12 weeks an intensity of RPE 11-17. All subjects of this study were examined the changes in BMD and body composition. It was concluded that the pilates exercise group had positive effects on BMD to in working women but had not positive effects on body composition. These findings indicate that the pilates exercise programs were effective to prevent BMD.
