The purpose of this research was to the effects of senior body rhythm exercise program of body composition and functional physical fitness of age group in elderly women. The subjects of required to performed senior body rhythm exercise program was composed of rating of perceived exertion(RPE) 11∼13 for 90 minutes, 2 times a week for 26 weeks, 52 older women were devide by classified age range into 4 groups; 60∼64, 65∼69, 70∼74, and 75∼79 years old. All subjects of this study were examined the changes in body composition and functional physical fitness. The results of the study in the exercise group were as follows; A within-group comparison revealed that all age group positive effects on % body fat, body fat, lower and upper extremity muscle strength, and the rates of change on lower and upper extremity muscle strength were significantly. This suggested that regular senior body rhythm exercise program performance is effective to body composition and functional physical fitness in elderly women. From what has been discussed above, senior exercise programs for the frail elderly people was very effective on improving function physical fitness.
