Inyongsa Temple Site is the No. 240 of Cultural Heritage Resource in Gyeongsangbuk-do which is conjectured to be the original temple of Kim In Moon. Since its excavation survey in 2002, 4 investigations were carried out for the last 10 years which excavated multiple relics such as auditorium site, Golden hall site, pagoda site, and cross shape building site, and remains like wooden tablet, earthenware and roof tiles. After the excavation investigation, the relics were protected by flat molding on top of the relics’ layer. However, there is currently dense grass grown on top of the molding layer which seems shameful to be called as a historic site. In order to preserve value as a historic site, first of all, a measurement for preservation to prevent deterioration of relics has to be made. Secondly, a scheme for people to access the information of relics conveniently and so that the information is easily understood needs to be set. Accordingly, the aim of this study is, firstly, to prepare a preservation scheme for the basic maintenance plan of Inyongsa Temple Site, and secondly to suggest a proper maintenance plan according to the characteristics of relics and their remaining condition, function and value. But, currently Inyongsa Temple Site is in the process of academic and historic investigation after the excavation. Thus, as the objective information and academic speculation on relics and remains are not sufficient, it is recommended to suggest a maintenance plan to preserve objectivity rather than vague maintenance plan.
