This study looks at the meaning of nature space/place about Lee Seung Taek and Ko Seung Hyun's artworks. Lee and Ko were on the periphery of Korean artworld and already have many years of noting for the nature space. Lee attempted experimental and temporary works more than 50 years and has established his own independent domains. Since 1981, Ko started working Nature Art with a Korean Nature Artist's Association, YATOO and Geumgang Nature Art Biennale. First, it is trying to explain about the Lee's own 'non-sculpture' from the appropriation of the natural environment and elements in terms of the privatization of nature space. Next, it will explore the achievement of Ko and YATOO and the local Art for Nature Art Movement in Chungnam, Gongju. Thus, their nature space is the experiment space for the possibility of overcoming the Korean artwords of the day and finding the their own language concerning about what art is. Although their different the view of nature, it has an important signification in the way that the nature space of their artworks is the alternative space. This attempt could determine the diversity of the Korean contemporary art and become one of the reference about nature and ecology of the contemporary concern.
