This study was to investigate the present franchise trade law from the restaurant franchisee perspective. A qualitative research was conducted through reviewing recent 18 legal cases of nine pizza chains and nine chicken chains. The data was collected from Ministry of Strategy and Finance of Korea. As the result of content analysis, researchers classified problems of provisions into six categories; 1) collection of facilities change expenses, 2) collection of membership fee for transferee of franchisee, 3)additional business ban, 4)cash only for payment against goods(no credit), 5)franchisor’s status transfer to someone without franchisee's agreement, 6)place the responsibility of consumer dispute on franchisee's account. Based on the qualitative data and former research, each category was discussed in detail. And implications of these discussion were suggested.
