The problem of North Korean human rights already becomes the periodical issue in international society. The aim of this thesis is to examine the present situation and the prospect of the problem of North Korean human rights and to check the tasks for solving it.
First, this thesis makes a general survey on the process of the problem of North Korean human rights being attended in international society and to check recent situation. The problem of North Korean human rights was attended broadly in international society for the great starvation in 1993-7. Second, I present a long term prospect and a short term prospect respectively. In the long term, the problem of North Korean human rights will be attended continuously in the inside and outside the country. In the short term, the problem of North Korean human rights is treated with relation to Six-Party Talks. The problem will be treated specially in the working groups to address Northeast Asia peace and security, U.S.-DPRK relations, and Japan-DPRK relations. Finally, I suggest some tasks of civil society and government for practical solving of the problem of North Korean human rights.
