The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of a program to facilitate understanding of hearing loss on attitudes of regular students toward the hearing loss and students with hearing loss. In total, data of 142 middle-school and high-school students were used for analysis. A 90-minute program included information on sound delivery and hearing loss, introduction of some well-known hearing-impaired people who overcame their hearing loss, diverse activities such as hearing loss simulation, experience wearing hearing aids, and group work project. The results were as follows. Overall, regular students participated actively in the program and also enjoyed given information about hearing loss. Results showed that the attitude of regular students toward hearing loss and hearing-loss prevention significantly improved after participating in the program. The program also positively influenced some, but not all, questionnaires about inclusive education with hearing-impaired students. In conclusion, a program to facilitate understanding of hearing loss could be useful for changing attitudes of regular students positively toward hearing loss. However, more systematic program is needed to change regular students' acceptance to hearing-impaired students.
