Due to the recent trend in wellbeing, happiness in individual life and workplace is becoming important.
By reflecting such social trends, this research was conducted to investigate the influence of seniors' revolutionary leadership on the happiness of workers at workplace; and to study whether positive psychological capital plays a mediating role in the relationship between seniors' revolutionary leadership and the level of happiness at workplace
The results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, seniors' revolutionary leadership had a positive influence on happiness in workplace.
Second, seniors' revolutionary leadership partially had a positive influence on positive psychological capital. Among the sub-concepts of positive psychological capital such as high self-efficacy, resiliency, hope, and optimism, hope was found to have a positive relationship with seniors' revolutionary leadership.
Third, positive psychological capital was found to play a mediating role in the relationship between seniors' revolutionary leadership and happiness level at workplace. An additional analysis of the relationship between in-house workshops and the level of work members' positive psychological capital showed that one-time workshops did not increase the level of their positive psychological capital.
Lastly, based on the results of this study, both theoretical and practical implications were derived. Further research should be conducted on these issues.
